When I started Modern Edge Concrete 14 years ago, I had little knowledge about the versatility of this crazy material known as concrete. So I dove in head first, and my journey into Concrete Artistry began.
When you think of concrete, what are your first thoughts? Do you think that it is cold, that it will crack, that it stains? In reality, it is no different from other surfaces you have in your house now, except that it is an incredible material that can be colored many different ways with several different textures. This is not the stuff in your driveway. It’s made by hand using only the finest quality products. That is where the artisan part comes into play. Concrete is formed, not cut with a machine. This allows minor imperfections and variations that give it personality and value. Each piece is a unique work of art.
